Government mulls floating duties to stem fertilizer price rise
KRASNOYARSK, Jun 22 (PRIME) -- The Russian government is considering floating duties on mineral fertilizers to restrict the price growth, Deputy Prime Minister Viktoria Abramchenko told reporters on Tuesday.
“Regarding mineral fertilizers, we’ve rejected the idea of a pricing agreement, but from my point of view, measures of economic regulation and tariff and customs regulation, like floating duties on mineral fertilizers should be applied,” she said.
“Our colleagues from the federal government is working on that.”
